I samma specifikationer som jag läste om RAID i nedan hittade jag också ett ensamt ASUS MyLogo 3 under "special features". Asus.com beskriver funtionen så här:
ASUS MyLogo 3 är en ny funktion på moderkortet som låter dig göra systemet mer personligt genom att ställa in specialanpassade och rörliga uppstartsbilder
Inte direkt jättenödvändigt, men lite kul tänkte jag och surfade vidare och hittade texten "DO NOT USE ASUS MYLOGO3" på Bryn's blog och följande lätt irriterade text:
If the image is over 150k, it will cause the bios to be too big to flash. MyLogo3 doesn't bother to check, or warn you. The built in flash tool doesn't mention the trifling matter that the BIOS is too big to fit in the fucking chip. It even verifies what did fit, says all is well and automatically reboots your machine into a fucked state.
Inte roligt. Genom att testa mig fram i Bios kan jag alltså göra moderkortet oanvändbart.
